Dying Light / Dead Island / Riptide - Stuttering Fix & Skip Intros

Applies to:

• Dead Island
• Dead Island: Riptide
• Dying Light

This can fix problems such as slow loading times, frame drops, stuttering and crashing on startup.

Skip Intros

1. In your Steam Game Library, find the game, right click it and click Properties.
2. Click the "Set launch options..." button.
3. Type in -nologos and click OK.
4. Click Close.

Apply Fix

1. Open your Documents folder.
2. Open the "Riptide" or "DeadIsland" folder depending on which game you have.
3. Open the "out" folder. 
4. Right-Click the "logs" folder and select "Properties"
5. Click the "Read-only" checkbox so that it is checked. You may need to click it twice.
6. Click the Security tab.
7. Click the "Edit..." button.
8. Click on your username in the list.
9. Below that, check the Deny box next to "Modify". It should check the options below it as well.
10. Click OK.
11. Click Yes, if prompted.
12. Click OK.
13. Click OK to the prompt that appears.
