Master of Orion 2 - Play with Steam overlay

1. In your Steam Game Library, find the game, right click it and click Properties.
2. Click the Local files tab.
3. Click the "Browse local files..." button to open up the game folder.
4. Open "dosboxMOO2.conf" with a text edtior.
5. Change the line:
   output=overlay
   to
   output=openglnb
6. Change the line:
   fullresolution=
   to
   fullresolution=1280x960
7. Save the file.

Note: Attempting to use any higher resolutions will just make the game run with black borders on the side.

Master of Orion 2 - Play on a Modern PC (without DOSBox)

Note: This information applies to the GamersGate and GOG releases.
Making it work on a modern PC

1. Go to the game's folder where you installed it.
2. Download the DPLAY.DLL file and save it into this folder.
3. Download DirectDrawFix to any folder and run it.
4. In the program, click Browse.
5. Browse to the folder where you installed the game and select the "Orion95" application.
6. Click the Apply button.
7. A message should confirm that changes have been made. Click OK and close the program.

Adding as a non-Steam game
Unfortunately, the Steam overlay will not work with this game.

1. In Steam, click Games (at the top), then "Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library".
2. Click "Browse...".
3. Add the "Orion95.exe" file from the folder where the game is installed.
4. Click "Add selected programs".
