Killing Floor - Play with an Xbox 360 Controller

This will allow you to play Killing Floor with an Xbox 360 Controller on Windows.

Setting it up

  1. If you already have Xpadder, you can skip to Step 4.
  2. Make a folder called "Xpadder" somewhere on your computer.
  3. Download Xpadder and save it in that folder.
  4. Inside the Xpadder folder, make a folder called "Profiles".
  5. Right click this link: XBOX 360 Controller profile and click "Save link as..." or "Save Target As".
Save it in the Profiles folder.
  6. Right click this link: Killing Floor profile and click "Save link as..." or "Save Target As".
Save it in the Profiles folder.
  7. Turn on/plug in your Xbox 360 controller.
  8. Run the Xpadder program.
  9. Go through the next instructions, mainly by clicking the "Start" option.
  10. When asked about a location, choose either option.
  11. Once the program has loaded, click the controller button (see fig.1) and click Open.
  12. Go to your Profiles folder and open the "XBOX 360 For Windows (Controller)" file.
  13. A layout should appear with an image of the controller.
  14. Click the profile icon (see fig. 2) and click Open.
  15. Go to your Profiles folder and open the "Killing Floor" file.
  16. Now you can run the game and play using the Xbox 360 controller (see controls below).

Notes for future use

  • Make sure Xpadder is running
  • Xpadder should open the last profiles you used so you don't need to set it up again.
    • If it doesn't, you can use Steps 5 & 6 to re-select it.
